Obituary of Elwin Edward Hutchinson

Elwin (Ed) Hutchinson, of Lockport, husband of the late Bernice Hutchinson, entered into rest Wednesday, April 10th, 2019. Ed was born in Cromwell, IA, in 1922, son of the late Elmer and Evangeline Hutchinson.
He was a guidance counselor at Lockport Senior High School up until he retired in 1982. Known by the staff at the Brothers of Mercy Nursing Home as the resident singer, Ed will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving husband, father, dedicated educator, and indefatigable amateur radio operator, WB2PCN.

Beloved father of Steve and Scott Hutchinson; grandfather of Bryce, Aaron, Kay and Joshua; brother of William Hutchinson.

The family will receive friends at the Sherrie Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main St. Gasport, on Friday April 26, from 4:00-8:00.  Mr. Hutchinson’s graveside service with military honors will be held Saturday April 27, at 10:00am at Chestnut Ridge Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brothers of Mercy Foundation 4520 Ransom Rd. Clarence, NY 14031.
