Obituary of Francis L. Pitts

(Albion)  Francis “Frank’ Pitts age 77 died December 29, 2017 at the Martin Linsin Hospice Residence following a short illness.  He was born March 4, 1940 in San Diego, CA, a son of the late Joseph and Ruth (Ito) Pitts and had lived in this area for over 54 years.

Frank had served in the US Air Force as an Airborne Radar Operator from 1958-1963.  He had worked at Eastman Kodak retiring after 23 years.  Frank was instrumental in starting the Sporter Rifle Club in Orleans County and was a life member of the NRA.  He enjoyed making stained glass, leather working, hunting, fishing, golfing, bowling and baseball.

Frank is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sandi; his daughters Lori (Shawn Blake) Dixon of Albion, Lynn (Dan) Morse of Post Falls ID, Becki (Stacy) Spears of Middleport; grandchildren Kristin (Richie) Culver, Brett (Jordan) Grollmes, Brie (Nick Joy) Dixon, Steven Andersen, Jeremy Andersen, Jaidyn Jensen; great-grandchildren Brandi, Ryleigh, Patrick, Adeline, Keaton; best friend Smokie; brother Joe Pitts; 2 sisters; sister-in-law Jackie Pitts; brothers-in-law Jim Robl, Jeff (Loretta) Robl; 2 nephews Mike and Jon Pitts as well as several other nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of Frank’s life will be held on Saturday January 6th from 1-3 at the family home.  Memorials may be made to Hospice of Orleans, PO Box 489, Albion NY 14411 or P.A.W.S. PO Box 244, Albion NY 14411.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. Albion.
