Obituary of Marie E. Carlston

Point Breeze:  Marie E. Carlston, 94, went to be with the Lord February 8, 2018 with her family by her side.  She was born January 31, 1924 in Albion, a daughter of the late Michael and Harriet (Podgers) Mattern.  Marie had lived in Point Breeze all of her life and was a former employee of Eastman Kodak Co.  She enjoyed square dancing, traveling, going to church and fishing at Cape Vincent.

She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred in 2010; brothers, Michael and Stanley Mattern.  Marie is survived by her sons, Richard (Persha) Carlston of Rochester, Ronald (Christine) Carlston of Holley and David (Candace) Carlston of Gasport; grandchildren, Rich Jr., Eric, Aaron, Michelle and Tracy; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild and one on the way.

Marie’s funeral service will be held at the Living Faith World Outreach, 161 S. Platt St. Albion, NY on Wednesday, February 14, at 11:00am.  Private interment at Carlton Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Orleans, P.O. Box 489, Albion, NY 14411.
