Obituary of Kathleen Ann Gardner

Lockport: Kathleen Ann “Kathy” Gardner, age 62, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on June 14, 2018. She was born March 7, 1956 in Lockport to the late James and Lois Gardner.

Kathy was a former employee of Kmart in Lockport and Tops Pharmacy in Lockport as well. Over the years she spent much of her time working at the YMCA in Lockport and Lyndonville, assisting with the Headstart program. Kathy had a special place in her heart for children with special needs and a tremendous love for people around her.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother James E. Gardner.

Kathy is survived by her siblings; Thomas (Beverly) Gardner, Sue Gardner, Joseph (Kathy) Gardner, sister-in-law; Diane Gardner, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home 38 State St. Middleport, NY on Saturday, September 29th from 1:00-4:00pm only. Memorial contributions in Kathy’s name may be made to the Terry’s Corner’s Volunteer Fire Co. 7801 Chestnut Ridge Rd. Gasport, NY 14067.
