Obituary of Steven B. Watkins

Albion:  Steven B. Watkins, 58, passed away August 5, 2018 at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, following a long illness.  Steve was born March 7, 1960 in Albion, a son of the late Stewart and Shirley (Snyder) Watkins.  Steve was a 1978 graduate of Albion High School and a member of the Eagle Harbor United Methodist Church.  He was a 20 year volunteer for C.O.V.A and Steve owned and operated Bearview Builders for many years, retiring in 2013 due to ill health.  Steve enjoyed spending time with his family and will be remembered for having a big heart and willing to help anyone in need.

He was predeceased by his brother Scott.  Steve is survived by his wife, Chris; sons, Bradley (Taylor Martin) Watkins of MA., Michael (Julie Virelli) Mannara of Holley; daughters, Tracy (Chas) Townsend of Albion, Sandy Massaro of Lancaster; sister-in-law, Kim Watkins of Albion; grandchildren, Anthony Mannara, Makenzie Mannara, Leigha Townsend and Peter Massaro; sister, Sandy and several nieces, nephews, cousins.

The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 W. Avenue, Albion on Friday August 10, from 4:00-8:00.  Steve’s Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday August 11, at 12:00.  Interment will follow at Transit Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 1344 University Ave. Suite 270, Rochester, NY 14607 or the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900, Arlington, VA.  22202
