Obituary of Clifford J. Provost, Jr.

Clifford J. Provost Jr., age 92, died 8/31/2018 in the Mt. Carmel House following a brief illness.
Cliff was born 3/8/1926 in E. Rochester to Clifford and Alberta (Weise) Provost Sr. and was a life-long resident of this area. After enlisting in the United States Navy on 6/7/1944 he went on to serve his Country in WWII. He then went to work at Eastman Kodak and retired after 40 years of steady employment. Cliff was a 1943 graduate of E. Rochester High School, a member of Concordia Lutheran Church of Kendall, a Charter Member and past Secretary for 23 years of the Kendall Lions Club, and was very active in the Kendall Sports Boosters, where he served as statistician for the boys and girls basketball teams.
He also ran the Wednesday Night Twilight Golf League at the Brockport Country Club. He enjoyed playing golf, loved spending time with his family and was an avid NY Yankees Fan.
Mr. Provost was predeceased by his wife Beatrice and brother Leonard. He is survived by his sons: C.J. (Carole) Provost of Greece, Dale (Barbara) Provost of Hilton, daughter: Beth Provost of Brockport, sisters: Ethel Archambo of AZ, Barbara (Ron) Crane of ID, Carol (Don) Henderson of Pittsford, sisters-in-law: Judy Ernenwein of Kendall, Gertrude Provost of Niagara Falls, grandchildren: Scott (Christine) Provost, Brian (Andrea) Provost, Matthew Provost (Lisa MacDonald), Ellen (Dan) Baker, 9 great-grandchildren; Michael, MiKayla, MaKenzie, Madisyn, Mikaylee, Landon, Joseph, Alexis, DJ as well as several nieces and nephews.
There will be no prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend Cliff’s Memorial Service SATURDAY 9/8/18 at 11 a.m. in Concordia Lutheran Church-Kendall. Private interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
