Obituary of Roger D. Boyce Sr.

Holley/Batavia: Roger D. Boyce, Sr., age 71, passed away October 30, 2018. He was born May 8, 1947 in Albion, NY to the late James Boyce and Elaine Airth Cond.

Roger was a member of the Holley First Presbyterian Church for many years. He also spent time as the Scoutmaster of Troop 62 of Holley for over 15 years. Roger spent time volunteering as Santa Claus for over 25 years at many Christmas events in the Holley and Albion areas and was a graduate of the Charles Howard Santa Claus School. He worked for Northrup Concrete as a truck driver for 10 years.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his step-father, George Cond, Jr., siblings, George Cond III, Joan Andrews, and Richard Boyce.

Roger is survived by his children, Ronda Grabowski, Dean (Dwayna) Boyce, Jr., Susie (Mark) Ott, goddaughter, Deborah (Vince) Mirrione, step-mother, Virginia Boyce, several brothers and sisters, 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 West Ave. Albion, NY 14411 on Monday from 2:00-6:00pm where his funeral service will be held immediately following at 6:00pm. Interment will be held privately in Byron Cemetery.
