Obituary of David J. Hoffman

David J. Hoffman, age 66, died 11/1/2018 in Orchard Manor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center following a long illness. 

He was born 5/3/1952 in Medina to John and Geraldine (Cady) Hoffman and was a life-long resident of this area. 

David worked many years as a Farm Laborer for Horace Bird & Son Farms in Jeddo and later worked delivering the Swap Sheet and the former Journal Register.  As an avid sportsman, David was a member of the Yates Carlton Sportsman Club, was a member of the NRA, SCOPE and spent many years volunteering in “The Log Cabin” at the Orleans County 4-H Fair.  He also was an active volunteer for the Medina Cruise Nights, giving direction to the drivers of classic cars and helping out in any way he could. 

David is survived by his brothers: Robert Hoffman of Middleport and Paul Hoffman of Lancaster. 

There will be no prior calling hours.  Family and friends are invited to attend David’s Mass of Christian Burial FRIDAY 11/9 in Holy Trinity Parish-St. Mary’s Church, Medina beginning at 11:00 a.m. 

Private interment will be held in West Ridgeway Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made a charity of your choice.
