Francis,
May the Lord be with you and your family during this difficult time of your lives. You just have to remember that Joey is in a beautiful place now and one day we will all be together again with those who have left us. I enjoyed watching the video to see a few familiar faces. Prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.

I was so glad to have reconnected with Joe at Monday golf league after all the years and I have to say it was great seeing his huge smile again. Always smiling and laughing just as he was in high school when we met. I think the world just got a little dimmer with the loss of Joe. To all of Joe's family I send my heart felt sympathies and prayers for your comfort in this time of great loss.

To Michele & family -
I am so sorry for your loss. Joey was a wonderful friend, a great musician and a funny chef. I've always considered him just one of the best people I've ever known. So many good memories - learning how to make gnocchi, learning NOT to put a spoonful of sauce in the beef stroganoff because it turns it pink (!),figuring out that even with the best teacher, I would never ever learn the Texas Two Step, and best of all, knowing I could count on Joey to step in as emergency groomsman when I came back home for my wedding. Even though he's gone way too soon, I feel lucky to have known him, and for the memories of those good times. Safe Travels, Joey, and Happy Trails, my friend.

So I met joe a couple of years ago. It was through my back yard neighbor. They were doing a "retirement" jam. I was fortunate to be able to join them on friday afternoons. We played two jams at the holley canal park for some special events. He agree to play with all my crazy jams with my self and Jack Moore(58 Main), and a food and jam at my house. Anyway I know just from talking with joe that he was as described. A dedicated family man, husband and dad. Second in his life,(or third) dedicated to music.
From day one I thought of him as a friend.
For myself, Jack Moore, Fred Dittman and friends he will be missed.
To his family and friends our deepest sympathy.

I just can’t wrap my head around the fact that he is gone. I hear his laugh, I see him climbing into the Gradall in past years with his hard hat filled with ice cubes on a hot day. I see him walking down the hill to the boats in Genesee Park as our Floating Plant Supervisor sometimes smiling sometimes out for bear. I see him on the boat eating the gnocchi I made and telling me it was really good. I see him after we both retired, bumping into him in Walmart, him giving me a big smooch, it’s just so hard to think of him gone. Being half Italian myself, I have a love for Italian men and he was one of the best. Always a gentleman, always kind even when he was mad. Michele and kids my heart goes out to you all. Please know that whenever we talked at work you all were his main interest. He talked about all of you in turn, And was so proud and loved his family so much. I’m heartbroken to have him gone. I haven’t been able to get it off my mind, still unbelievable that we won’t hear that silly Woody Woodpecker laugh again. Rest In Peace my friend.

Darlene and I are heartbroken as all who knew Joe are feeling the same loss.
Joe has been my good friend for so long, I can not remember a time when he wasn’t there.
I am so appreciative of the time spent in recent years with Joe camping and relaxing, playing guitar as we always did.
Joe, you always made everyone feel so comfortable and warm. You were truly God’s gift to this world and will remain so in our hearts.

Joey was one hell of a guy, friendly to everyone and fun to be with. The Monday Night Golf Guys have lost a great friend and player. Your hole -in-one on 18 will remind us of you when we play that hole. Play on the heavenly links and strum a few notes at the 19th! RIP Joe.

Dear Family of Joey,
I had the good fortune to attend my last two years of high school in Holley. Joey was always there with a smile and a hello. He had such a great sense of humor, and was always so kind, especially to the "new kid" in school. the last time I saw Joey was a couple of years ago when he was playing at the gazebo by the canal. He still had that wonderful smile all these years later. I am heartbroken for all of you, and I hope that the love and comfort that you will have with your family and friends will carry you through these next few days. May God Bless you all.
Sincerely,
Penny(Kittle) Cole

I missed many years with Joe when I lived in Texas but he has always been my friend. Joe was one of the first to extend his friendship when I returned to upstate N.Y. and in the past few years we have become close sharing so much music and laughter together. A true kind, caring and gentle soul. It is with a heavy heart that I write this as his time here with us has been cut all too short. I will miss you greatly dear friend.
