Obituary of Chester Arthur Boring

Albion:  Chester Arthur Boring, 82, passed away peacefully at home December 1, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.  Chet was born October 31, 1936 in New Florence PA., a son of the late Roy and Hazel Boring.  Chet was a member of the Eagle Harbor United Methodist Church, where his daughter Susan is Pastor.  He was a former employee of T.J. Lipton and the Orleans County D.P.W.  He was a member of Hook & Ladder Co. of the Albion Fire Dept., St. Mary’s Athletic Club, St. Mary’s Archer’s Club, B. P.O. Elks Lodge #1006 and the Strickland Post #4635 VFW.

Chet always kept busy enjoying bowling, hunting, golfing, fishing, gardening, dancing, camping, roller skating and snowmobiling.  Chet will be remembered as a wonderful husband, loving father and adoring grandfather.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Elsie; children, Reverend Susan Boring, Darlene (Mark) Nenni and Brett Boring; grandchildren, Chester and Emilee Boring and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 W. Avenue, Albion on Thursday December 6, from 4:00-8:00.  Chet’s Funeral Service will be held at the Eagle Harbor United Methodist Church, 13407 Eagle Harbor Knowlesville Rd. Albion, NY 14411 on Friday December 7, at 11:00am.  Interment will be in Mt. Albion Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Hospice of Orleans, P.O. Box 489, Albion, NY 14411 or the Eagle Harbor United Methodist Church C/O Joel Allen 336 Wood St. Albion, NY 14411
