Obituary of Eileen M. Trombley

Eileen M. Trombley, age 91, of Knowlesville formerly of Tupper Lake, NY passed away peacefully on May 14, 2019 at the Villages of Orleans. She was born December 31, 1927 in Conifer, NY to the late Leonard and Lena (Boardman) McDonald.

Eileen was an active member of St. Joseph’s Church and of the Catholic Daughters in Albion. For many years she was an educator for the bible study at St. Mary’s Church in Medina. Eileen was a great seamstress, making many items of clothing for her family and herself over the years. In her spare time she enjoyed reading Christian books, playing the guitar, singing, and was a good cook. She was a very caring woman who was like a mother to her niece, Mary Lee Knights, and a grandmother to her great-nieces and great-nephew, Laura, Fran and Chad Knights.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Edgar, sisters and their husbands, Frances (Joseph), Edna (Clifton), Millie (Maynard), and Charlotte (Ernie).

Eileen is survived by her sons, Bernard (Diane) Trombley, Robert (Cindy) Trombley, grandchildren, Bernard Jr., Nathan, Amber, Brittany, Branden Clement, Shannon, Robert Jr., Scott, great-grandchildren Neil, Missy, Olivia, great-great-grandson, Parker Clement.

The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 West Ave. Albion, NY 14411 on Monday, May 20th from 4:00-6:00pm. Eileen’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Parish – St. Joseph’s Church W. Park St. Albion, NY 14411 on Tuesday at 10:00am. Interment will be held in Mt. Albion Cemetery.
