Obituary of Delois Scurry

Albion:  Delois Scurry, 62, passed away June 29, 2019 at Strong Memorial Hospital.  She was born November 12, 1956 in Monticello, Florida, a daughter of Sarah (Richardson) Scurry and the late John Scurry Sr.  She was a member of the Royal Church of God in Christ.  Delois enjoyed watching soap operas, mowing lawn and flower gardening.  She received the greatest joy in spending time with her granddaughter, Chantee Johnson.

She was predeceased by her father, John Scurry Sr. and brother, John Scurry Jr.

She is survived by her loving family; son, Cedric Johnson; granddaughter, Chantee Johnson; her mother, Sarah Scurry; siblings, Linda D. Scurry, Milton E. Scurry and cousin/brother, Freddie Gardner; nieces, Tunisia Scurry and Jasmine Scurry; nephew, John Scurry III and a host of other relatives and friends. 

The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 W. Avenue, Albion, Friday July 5, from 7:00-9:00.  Her Homegoing service will be held at the Royal Church of God in Christ, 997 Sawyer Rd. Kent, NY on Saturday July 6, at 11:00am.  Interment will follow in Mt. Albion Cemetery.
