Obituary of John M. Halliday

(Holley)  John M. Halliday age 78 died July 28, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born March 15, 1941 in Dundee Scotland, United Kingdom, the son of the late John M. and Jessie (Yacamini) Halliday and had lived here for 55 years. 

John had worked for 37 years as a plumber at Farash Corp. in Rochester.  He loved to be on his computer, golf, shoot darts and most importantly spend time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Janet; daughters June (Robert) Berger of Hamlin, Janette (Chris) Andrews of Kent; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren with one on the way; sister-in-law Doreen Mackay of Canada; nieces, a nephew and family in Scotland.

The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 16650 State Rte. 31 Holley on Thursday August 1st 4:00pm-7:00pm.  His Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10:00am at St. Mary’s Church in Holley.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
