Obituary of William H. Heschke Sr.

OBITUARY  NOTICE

(GASPORT)

William H. “Sonny” Heschke Sr., age 92, died August 19, 2019 in his residence following a long illness. 

Sonny was born April 23, 1927 in Cambria to Harold and Gertrude (Miller) Heschke and was a life-long resident of this area. 

A retiree of Harrison Radiator, Mr. Heschke spent his life working on the family farm.  He was a Founding Member, and past Chief of the Terry’s Corners Fire Department, a member of the WNY Gas & Steam Engine Association, loved to work on engines, tractors and mowers, enjoyed going to rodeos, attending Old Fashion Days and visiting the Southerntier. 

Mr. Heschke was predeceased by two brothers: Donald and Clarence Heschke. 

He is survived by his sons: Jeffery Heschke of Gasport, William (Jean) Heschke Jr. of  Barker, his daughter: Barbara Harris of Gasport, his brother: Richard Heschke of Middleport, his sisters: Shirley Doty of Gasport, Mary Woods of Lockport, Ida (Fred) Giertz of Middleport, 4 grandchildren: Christopher, Timothy, Kenneth, Tonya, great-grandchildren: Jessica, Troy, Katlynn, great-great-grandchildren: Aiden, Coulton, Bryson as well as several nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends at the Zion Lutheran Church, 4447 Central Avenue-Gasport, SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 14th from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. where his Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. following visitation. 

Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
