Obituary of Betty R. Makowski

Kendall:  Betty R. Makowski, 83, passed away August 22, 2019 surrounded by her loving family at Strong Memorial Hospital.  She was born March 19, 1936 in Rochester, a daughter of the late Stanley & Dorothy (Hadlock) Paul.  Betty was a lifetime resident of Kendall and retired from Bausch & Lomb after 40 years of service.  Betty loved gardening and decorating for the holidays, especially Christmas and Halloween.  Betty loved spending time with her grandchildren, as they kept her young at heart.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Lee Paul, Raymond Paul, Albert Paul, Don (Linda) Paul, Edith Swart, Lillian (Jim) Simmons and James Paul.

Betty is survived by her sons, Tony (Carol) Fulginiti, Brian (Debra) Makowski, Richard Makowski, Keith (Kim) Makowski, and Kurt (Justine Schaefer) Makowski; grandchildren, Brianna Fulginiti & Christopher (Jacquelin) Fulginiti, Justin (Lindzy) Palmer & Kristina Palmer, Jeremy Kates, Crystal Hiscox, David, Ashley, Jessica & Lindsey Makowski; great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Finnley, Kaitlyn, Kavin, Sophie, Kody, Jaylin; Sisters, Shirley Paul, Joyce Caswell, Barbara Paul, Olive (Alfred) Flora, Francis Lohman and sister-in-law, Carol Paul; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 16650 Route 31, Holley on Wednesday August 28, from 5:00-6:30, followed by a Celebration of Betty’s Life at 6:30pm.  Inurnment will be private at Riverside Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Camp Good Days and Special Times 1332 Pittsford-Mendon Rd.
