Obituary of John E. Baron

(ALBION)

John “Jack” Baron, age 92, died September 24, 2019 in The Villages of Orleans following a brief illness.  

He was born May 28, 1927 in Pittsburgh, PA to William and Amanda (Omland) Baron and had lived in this area most of his life.  J

ack was a United States Navy Veteran and was a member of the Sheret Post #35 American Legion, a Charter Member of the Barre Fire Company, and was a member of the West Barre United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir.  Jack loved all types of music and even played the violin.  He loved hunting and fishing, and enjoyed traveling around the Country.  

Mr. Baron was predeceased by his wife Jean and a grandson: Andrew Baron.  He is survived by his children: Bonnie Baron of Albion, John Baron of Albion, Tom Baron of FL, Jill (Roger) Chandler of Albion, Trudy (Ben) Andersen of FL, 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.  

he family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 West Avenue-Albion, FRIDAY from 4-7 p.m. only.  

Family and friends are invited to attend Jack’s Funeral Service SATURDAY at  11 a.m. in the West Barre United Methodist Church, 5377 Eagle Harbor Rd., Albion.  Interment will be held at a later date  in the Pembroke National Cemetery.
