Aunt Etta Mae was a wonderful aunt. While I was unable to spend time with her like I wished (after moving to Colorado), I know my niece, Christine, took excellent care of her over the years. Etta Mae's father's name was often mistaken as William. However, his name was Willie. Willie and Leona are buried close by. Although born in Albion, most of her childhood was spent at Allen Street in Lockport, living with many relatives who needed a home. Her parents welcomed everyone. Etta Mae and her sister, Lou, married brothers, Joseph and Edward, respectively. Etta Mae and Joe had no biological children, but were overjoyed when they adopted Debbie. My aunt loved Debbie with all her heart. And, oh, the grandchildren! She was ecstatic as each was born. Everyone who knew my aunt will miss her, I'm sure.
