Obituary of Laurita M. Brooks

Lyndonville: Laurita M. Brooks, age 73, passed away unexpectedly on January 22, 2020 at Rochester General Hospital. She was born August 20, 1946 in Medina to the late Robert and Ada (Lonnen) Buckland. She was a graduate of Lyndonville High School class of 1964. Laurita spent most of her time cooking, canning and crocheting. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James in 1993 and sister Mildred Buckland in 2018. Laurita is survived by her siblings, Floyd Buckland, Gail Newman, James (Linda) Buckland, nieces and nephews, Rodney (Denise) Newman, Jeff Newman, Amy Newman, Mike Buckland, Stace Buckland, Tracy Buckland, several great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, and cousins. Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. Laurita’s arrangements have been entrusted to Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 West Ave. Albion, NY 14411.
