Hi Mark and Gail,
I just came across your Mom's obituary today. I am truly sad. She was like a second Mom to me, and your Dad was the sharing father I never really had.In later years, I visited them every time I came back to Albion. Mark, I know you and I drove your Mom bonkers with all the crazy boy stuff we used to do at your house. She handled us well. Both our families shared a lot of interests (the cottage and our Dads both sailors, and of course Pecks). She definitely made my life so much better. I will miss her and your Dad--two of the nicest people I ever knew.

It occurred to me that Mr. And Mrs. Hudson have been a blessing in my life since about 1980 or so. Not only did I win big by having been born into a great family, but my family also had great fortune of having these wonderful, caring people for 40 or so years right next door! Every major life event and milestone was celebrated and shared with the Hudsons. It is the end of an era that leaves us with such grief, but only because we loved and appreciated them deeply. God bless the entirety of your family, and know we are sending prayers and only the warmest, healing thoughts your way.
Love, and deepest sympathy from Cindy Elam-Shawver, Grant Shawver and Garrison Shawver

Mrs. Hudson, as I knew her, was my kindergarten teacher in 1971. She was one of the sweetest teachers I ever had in all my years throughout Albion School. I do remember her well and am happy to hear she had a wonderful life. I saw her picture and all I could do is smile. May you Rest In Peace with the Lord, Mrs. Hudson. - Scott Mattice

Gail and family, I was so saddened to hear of the passing of your mother. What a legacy of love she left in everything she touched as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and teacher. 55 years after being a student in her kindergarten class, I still have fond memories of being in her room and the kind person she was. They say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, and Gail, that is so true of you. Working with you and having your mom as a teacher in the elementary school was an honor that I will always cherish. Take comfort in knowing that what she taught all of us will live on forever as she will in our hearts.

My condolences to the family of Mrs. Hudson. I can only imagine how much you will miss her presence. But, oh what goodness she spread while here among us! What a lovely lady she was. I was a pupil in her kindergarten classroom almost fifty years ago. Memories of her genuine kindness and sweetness have stayed with me all that while, and surely always will. No doubt she made a special difference to a great many people. Truly a life well lived.

Gail , Bill, Mark and Ellen,
So, where to begin...what a true delight to have known your mom..and your dad, of course. She was such a delight..always always saw both of them at the ball games, the shows, and at every church function. I’ll always remember seeing them even after all of our kids graduated..they loved all of them. Your mom was so cute...always asking about my parents even though she hardly knew them. She was instrumental in making sure there was a memorial in my mom’s name at BCPC. Of course we are so grateful for all the endless days Pete spent at their house with Bri. She missed your dad so much..now they can dance together again.
Love and blessings to you all.

I will always remember Mrs. Hudson fondly as she was my kindergarten teacher. I remember how much I loved being in her class and how kind and loving she was to me. I would see her throughout my years attending school and she always inquired about how I was doing and was always very encouraging and supportive. Upon graduating high school, I received a most beautiful card from her and it really touched my heart! My sincere sympathy to Gail, Bill and family. God Bless.

Dear Family, I was a Fourth Grade Teacher in the Albion Central School system when your Mom taught there. I didn't know her as a friend during that time, but I knew of her as she was the KDG teacher of my two sons, Eric and Bradley Pritchard. She was the one who gave them both excellent starts in their education. They both are doing very well in their lives many years later.
My husband and I became better friends of Bill and Joan after we were all retired. We were all members of Busy Buddies, our Orleans Cry Traveling Group. We went on several trips that were also attended by Bill and Joan, so we had a chance to get to know them. GOOD PEOPLE!
