Obituary of Alberta Neilans

Albion: Alberta Neilans, 92, passed away following a short illness, on March 5, 2020, surrounded by her family. She was a deeply loved wife, mother, grandmother and will be missed by all. Alberta was a 1945 graduate of Albion High School. She was a member of the Albion First Presbyterian Church, member and past District Deputy of the Rebekah Lodge. She was a beloved lunch lady at Albion Central Schools for many years and loved animals, flowers and birds. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles, in 2002; siblings, Phyllis Wasmund, Ronald Spinks, Charles Spinks, Kathleen Brinkman and Carol Beach. Alberta is survived by her children, George (Rebecca) Neilans, Fae (Alan) Woodworth, Roy (Joanne) Neilans, Charles Neilans, Scott (Kerri) Neilans and Bruce (Lisa) Neilans; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; special nieces, Brenda West, Kathy Brinkman and Carol Miller; many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 W. Avenue, Albion on Sunday March 8, from 1:00-3:00, followed by her Funeral Service at the funeral home at 3:00pm. Interment will be in Mt. Albion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Albion First Presbyterian Church, 29 E.
