Obituary of Michelle L. Horton

Albion: Michelle Lorraine Horton (Staub), age 54, went to be with the Lord on March 5, 2020. Michelle (Mimi, Shell) was born and raised in Kent, NY and was a 1983 graduate of Albion High School. She was a very strong and courageous woman, having survived a heart attack and breast cancer. Michelle enjoyed coloring, gardening, cooking and watching the Food Network. The thing she loved the most was spending time with her family, especially her 2 grandsons. She was predeceased by her Mother-in-law: Laura Romashko. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years Paul, her children: Derek and Lindsay, and her 2 beautiful grandsons: Drayden and Adrian. Also surviving are her parents, Roberta Evans, William (Glendia) Staub Sr., her siblings: William (Donna) Staub Jr., Rhonda M. Brown, Kimberly (Jason) Bennett, Lee K. Boring, Andrew (Lindsey) Staub, Patricia (Michael) Friedl, her Father-in-law: David (Shirley) Horton and Brother-in-law: Walter (Jody) Romashko as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and life-long friends. Per Michelle’s wishes, there will be no funeral or services. A Celebration of her life will be held at a later date at the family’s convenience. The family appreciates all the love and support that was given during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family. Michelle’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. of Albion.
