Obituary of Lorrie A. Murek-Delaney

Lorrie A. Murek-Delaney age 58 died unexpectedly at her home March 12, 2020. She was born November 13, 1961 in Buffalo, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Diane (Avino) Murek and had lived in this area all of her life. Lorrie worked as a care taker at the ARC of Orleans in Albion. She volunteered at P.A.W.S. and helped deliver Meals on Wheels. Lorrie enjoyed playing cards, taking trips to the casino, her beloved dog Mietta, making friends and talking but most of all she loved being a grandma and devoted herself to her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters Jessica (Kevin) George and Erin (Robert) Taylor; grandchildren Madisyn Taylor, Hudson Taylor, Harper George, Elodie Taylor; brothers Ken Murek, Mitch (Lori) Murek as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. There are no prior calling hours. Her Memorial Service will be held Thursday March 19th at the Pullman Universalist Church, 10 E. Park St. Albion beginning at 4:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the ARC of Orleans, 122 Caroline St. Albion NY 14411, P.A.W.S, 3371 Gaines Basin Rd., Albion NY 14411 or to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 3 International Dr., Rye Brook NY 10573.
