Obituary of Richard L. Moore

(Holley) Richard L. Moore, 87, passed away March 20, 2020. He was born November 17, 1932 in Warrenton, NC a son of the late James and Ella (Harris) Moore. Richard was a member of the First Baptist Church of Holley and a former employee of Rochester Products. Mr. Moore was affectionately known as the “Candy Man”. He loved socializing, taking video’s, especially at festivals and also had a great sense of humor. He was predeceased by his granddaughter Jennifer, sister, Emma (James), brothers, Romey, George and James. Richard is survived by his loving wife Joyce (Hartley) Moore of 58 years; daughters, Susan (Donald) Haubner, Lori Miller, Rebecca (James) Haines, Emma Parsons; son, Frank Helvey; grandchildren, Alexandra, Brandon, Donald, Jillian, Jimmy, Daniel, special granddaughter/caregiver, Jessica (Rich); great-grandchildren, Elaina, Gianna, Cody and Kylie; several nieces and nephews in NC. To ensure the health and safety of the family and others, all services will be held in private. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Holley, 25 Geddes St. Holley, NY 14470.
