Obituary of Robert G. Goodell

(Newfane) Robert G. Goodell, age 73, died May 6, 2020 in the Newfane Rehab and Health Care Center following a brief illness. He was born July 13, 1946 in Olean to George and Betty (App) Goodell and had lived in this area most of his life. Robert was a member of the Community Fellowship Church in Johnson Creek, worked as a pattern maker for AgPack in Gasport and then also worked for Bison Bag. He drove bus after he ‘retired’ and was known for raising beagles. Robert was a gun enthusiast and enjoyed shooting and was a former member of the Middleport Rod and Gun Club. He is survived by his children: Brenda Christie of Wrights Corners, Bobbie (Fred) Baldwin of Middleport, Erin (Floyd) Nichols of W. Virginia, his brother: James (Elena) Goodell of FL, his sister: Susan (David) Lester of Newfane, 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 nieces and 2 nephews. There will be no visiting hours. Private service and interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Niagara County SPCA, 2100 Lockport Rd., Niagara Falls, NY, 14304.
