Obituary of Mary Lucy Sailus

(HOLLEY) Mary L. Sailus, age 91, died May 26, 2020 in the Hillhaven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a short illness. She was born November 18, 1928 in Rochester to Nicola and Josephine (Pilato) Marchesoni and had lived in this area all of her life. Mary was a communicant of St. Mary’s R.C. Church in Holley and earlier in her life was an active member of the Orleans County Home Bureau. She enjoyed bowling and birdwatching however, as a family-oriented woman, her greatest was her children and grandchildren and the fact that she shared the same birthday as Mickey Mouse. Mrs. Sailus was predeceased by her husband Albert, and her brothers: Salvatore and Vincent Marchesoni. She is survived by her children: Ann Marie Jermyn of Rochester, Martin (Joanna) Sailus of Newark Valley, NY, Andrew (Rosemary) Sailus of Holley, her grandchildren: Monica, Rebecca, Cherie, Owen and Anna, sister-in-law: Pauline Marchesoni as well as several nieces and nephews. Due to the guidelines issued regarding social gatherings during the COVID-19 Pandemic, Mary’s Memorial Mass will take place at a later date. Her interment will be held privately in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Children International, 2000 E. Red Bridge Rd., P.O.
