Obituary of Margaret J. Porter

Brockport: Margaret J. “Marge” Porter, age 93, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2020. She was born April 10, 1927 in Lockport to the late George and Veronica (Pozarzycki) Lowe. Marge worked for GM for many years before retiring. She enjoyed refinishing furniture, doing stained glass work, quilting, leatherwork and snow birding in Citra, FL. In addition to her parents, Marge was predeceased by her brother, Gordon, and step-son, Gerald Porter Jr. Marge is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Gerald, daughters, Sandy (Terry) Lund, Terri (Steve) Keenan, step-son, Jim (Susie) Porter, step-daughter, Debbie (Mike) Horton, 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. There are no prior calling hours. Marge’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 29th at 11:00am at Church of Nativity of the BVM, 152 Main St. Brockport, NY 14420. Interment will follow at Cold Springs Cemetery, Lockport, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Marge’s name may be made to your favorite charity.
