Obituary of Ronald W. Patterson

(Hamlin) Ronald W. Patterson age 78 died September 27, 2020 at his home following a long illness. He was born June 28, 1942 in Gouverneur NY, a son of the late Wayne and Myrtle (Barraford) Patterson and had lived in the area for the past 48 years. Ron had served in the US Coast Guard Reserves. He attended Lakeshore Community Church in Rochester. He worked at Kodak for many years, retiring in 1999. Ron was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed golf, football, softball, baseball and was a die-hard New York Yankee and New York Giants fan. He loved camping, hunting and his fishing trips to Crooked Creek. Ron and his wife Mary loved to travel, some of his favorite places were Hawaii, Alaska and the Bahamas. But most of all, Ron loved spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Winford and his brother-in-law Michael Trimm. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary; his sons Eric Patterson, Jason Patterson and Chris (Amy Brightly) Patterson; grandchildren Molly, Caleb and Nicholas Patterson; sisters Darla Trimm, Gail (Daniel) Rice, Trudy(Raymond) Carrington as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 16650 State Route 31 Holley on Friday October 9th 4:00pm-6:00pm where his Celebration of Life Service will follow at 6:00pm.
