As a former neighbor of Doug & Emma, I recall what a gentlemen and optimistic guy Doug was. When I was out working in the yard, he would always stop and talk, with good advice and perhaps a good story, He once gave me some irises I had admired in his yard that I planted. Then when I moved, I took some with me. In the 20 years since I moved, they have flourished where ever I plant them. I always think of Doug when they bloom and will continue to do so. My sincerest condolences to Emma and the family.

Dear Emma,
I was so sorry to read of Doug's death. I didn't know him except to say hi at Holley gatherings, but I have always heard what a caring person he was. I especially remember him at Jimmy's "pot luck party" where he was greeting people and visiting with everyone. He will always be remembered. Love, Pat Howard Park
