Obituary of Sandra A. Soos

Sandra A. Soos, age 78, died 6/29/2019 under the loving care of her family and Niagara Hospice.

Sandy was born June 16, 1941 in Buffalo to Joseph and Dorothy (Letke) Schieberl and had lived in this area for over 40 years.  She graduated from the Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart and married her husband Edward on November 24, 1960.  Sandy was a communicant of Holy Trinity Parish-St. Stephen's Church, and had worked for over 30 years in the Royalton Hartland Central School district, retiring in 2007.  She loved her job at the school and enjoyed interacting with the students and faculty.  It was common-place to hear students say, "I just love that Mrs. Soos!"  

Sandy was an avid sports fan, in particular, she was a fan of the Buffalo Bills, the NY Yankees and the Buffalo Sabres.  She also enjoyed dancing, gardening, reading, going out to dinner traveling and especially spending time with her family and being in, and around the company of other people.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Edward G. Soos, her children: Tracy (George) Clayton of PA, Susan (Russell) Scrufari of Lockport, Edward (Susan) Soos of Gasport, her grandchildren: Scott (Jessica) Walker, John (Samantha) Walker, Carrie Ann Scrufari, Jenny Lynn Scrufari, Sandra (Anthony) Clark, Katilyn Scrufari, her great grandchildren: Lincoln Bregy, Anthony "TJ" Clark, and Luke Scott Walker as well as several nieces, nephews and her beloved dog; Molly. 

The family will receive friends at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St.-Middleport, WEDNESDAY from 10-11 a.m. only. 

Family and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial WEDNESDAY at 11:30 in Holy Trinity Parish-St. Stephen’s Church, Middleport.  Entombment will follow in Queen of Heaven Mausoleum.
